Care Guide
At Evatop Pearls, we believe pearl jewellery is meant to be worn and enjoyed. Pearls are organic gemstones, and their natural lustre comes from delicate surface layers that can be scratched or dulled if exposed to chemicals or abrasion. With a few simple habits, your jewellery will stay beautiful for years to come.
Wearing your jewellery
• Put your jewellery on after applying perfume, hairspray, lotions, cosmetics, or makeup.
• Remove jewellery before exercising, sleeping, cleaning, or any activity that may cause impact or friction.
• Avoid contact with household chemicals and cleaners.
Water, swimming & showering
Pearls can tolerate occasional moisture, but we recommend removing pearl jewellery before:
• swimming (chlorine and saltwater may affect the pearl surface and settings)
• showering or bathing (soaps, shampoos and rapid temperature changes may dull the lustre)
Cleaning pearls
• After each wear, gently wipe pearls with a soft, clean cloth.
• For a deeper clean, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soapy water, then wipe again with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, and ultrasonic cleaners.
Metal components (gold / silver / plated parts)
Some pieces may include gold, silver, plated, or other metal components (such as chains, clasps, or earring posts). To help maintain the finish:
• Keep metal parts away from perfumes, lotions, sprays and cleaning chemicals.
• Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear.
• Do not use abrasive polishing cloths or chemical jewellery dips unless the product description specifically recommends them.
Storage
• Store pearl jewellery separately in a soft pouch or lined box to prevent scratching.
• Avoid excessively hot, dry, or humid environments.
• Keep away from direct sunlight for long periods.
